The CQC 2012 delegates are being offered on-campus accommodation at Carleton University, Ottawa. These modest accommodations are close to the Rideau Canal and offer easy access to the pathway system that can take you downtown or through the Experimental Farm. It is a 15 minute ride from the Airport and a quick jaunt into the downtown core. Choosing to stay on campus offers the convenience of being in close proximity to all the activities the conference has to offer.

Frontenac House
Leeds House – This building is a suite style residence with two and four bedroom suites that contain single rooms with double beds. These suites have one bathroom for a two bedroom suite and two bathrooms for the four bedroom suites. There is a kitchen area with a fridge and cook top, however the cook tops are not operational during the summer season. The building has air conditioning and an elevator.

Single: $63.00 + HST per person (single occupancy).
Price is for ONE BEDROOM within a suite, not the whole suite.
Bathrooms are shared within the suite
Price includes all you can eat hot & cold breakfast
All residences have a TV Lounge on each floor. Some also have smaller study lounges.
Shuttles will not be provided to the conference venue from off-campus accommodation facilities. Taxi and bus are the easiest modes of transportation to reach the campus. Your front desk staff or concierge can arrange a taxi for you (mention the specific venue that you are heading to, and buses run to campus along all major streets in the city.
Parking is also available on campus if you choose to rent a vehicle. Please see Visitor Information for further details about transportation.
Food Service
The Fresh Food Company (FFCo) is located on the 3rd floor of the Residence Commons building. This newly renovated facility provides countless options to accommodate all palates including vegetarian, gluten free diet requests, and is a nut-free facility. A hot and cold buffet breakfast is included in your accommodation package, conference organizers are able to opt for lunch and dinner service. All cafeteria meals are ‘unlimited servings’.

Front Desk: Located in the Residence Commons Building, the Front Desk is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The telephone number is 613-520-5609. Our dedicated and knowledgeable desk clerks will provide information about campus facilities and services, directions to meeting sites as well as to local attractions. These service professionals will offer suggestions for local sightseeing tours, restaurants and special events happening in the Nation’s Capital. Guests can purchase bus tickets and passes at the Front Desk. At the Front Desk, you can put money on your meal card which allows you access to a variety of card services on campus including laundry, vending, photocopy machines, retails cafeterias and convenience stores.
Parking: Weekly parking passes are available for purchase at the residence reception desk at a cost of $35.00 or hourly parking costs $9.00 daily plus applicable taxes. Weekend parking is $2.00 per day and can be purchased at the pay and display machines in the parking lot. Multi day passes can be purchased from the Front Desk Staff in Residence Commons. (2011 prices. Will be subject to change in May 2012)
Housekeeping Services: Rooms are supplied with linens, a towel, and a bar of soap. On a daily basis, all beds are made, fresh towels are given and garbage is removed. Linens are changed and rooms completely cleaned on the morning of the fifth day.
Banking: Automatic Bank Machines are available in the Residence Commons lobby. There is also a full-fledged Scotia Bank on campus to meet any of your banking needs. They are open on weekdays.
Other amenities: Our Campus has a Health Services Clinic, a bookstore, computer store, pharmacy, convenience store, and post office available Monday to Friday during regular business hours.
Messages: Messages left with the front desk can be picked up from the message board in the lobby of Residence Commons. Emergency messages will be delivered directly to a delegate’s room or the organizer of the group.
Telephones and Data Ports: Telephones are available in each residence room with free local calls. The residence switchboard can be reached at 613-688-2300. Outside callers are able to reach guests staying in Residence by phoning this number. Ethernet activation is available in residence bedrooms at no charge to the client. A weekly password is available from the front desk. There are some areas of campus that are wireless. Pay phones are located on each Residence Floor & in the Lobby.
Laundry Facilities: Self-serve washers and dryers are available in any of our swipe-card activated laundry facilities, 24 hours a day. These cards are the meal cards that you receive upon arrival. Additional cards may be purchased at the Front Desk. Detergent and laundry supplies are available for sale at Abstentions. You can inquire at the Front Desk for irons and ironing boards.
