The “first” inaugural Canadian Quality Congress was launched in Vancouver, British Columbia; August 19-21, 2009

The 1st Annual Canadian Quality Congress was held at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, from August 19-21, 2010. Close to 200 Canadian and international delegates assembled for three days at the picturesque university campus. Delegates, speakers and sponsors discussed the timely theme of Focus on Future: Quality, Innovation and Social Responsibility while networking and sharing ideas.

Theme of 4th Canadian Quality Congress

Closing the Quality Gap: Manufacturing versus Service Organisations

The theme is to enhance the understanding of quality and business improvement practices by providing further insights into the theoretical and practices streams and anticipated to advance the findings of Third Canadian Quality Congress (2011 CQC) held in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Call for Papers

Deadlines: The deadline for draft paper submission is: January 31st, 2012 and the final manuscript is due no later than February 29th, 2012.

Those who wish to present a paper or join a panel discussion topic related to the Congress theme are required to submit their abstracts and proposals in 100 to 200 words along with a brief resume and contact details.

Papers are welcome not only from academic research scholars in the relevant field of total quality management, but also in leadership, business strategies, human resource development and knowledge management issues – including also from multi-disciplinary areas of TQM that are applicable to government, education and non-profit organizations and dot-come industries.

Priority will be given to best practices and case studies applications that have resulted in measurable bottom line results.

All papers should be typed in Microsoft Word Format in Times Roman, font Size 12 and to be sent by e mail to: csq@shaw.ca

Publication of Selected Papers

Similar to previous years, all accepted papers will be included in a Congress proceeding made available on the website accessible by attending delegates only and some selected papers will also be published in special volumes of The TQM Journal of the Emerald Publishing group of UK.

Best Paper Award

All accepted papers will be entitled for a competition for one Best Paper Award and a Highly Commended Paper Award sponsored by the Emerald Publishing Group of UK.
